This position is based out of Coppell, TX, a suburb of Dallas.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the resolution of complex claims and curative matters, specific title examination issues, and underwriting questions. Provide support to VP & Deputy General Counsel and VP of Compliance/ QA for the Premier (PLTIC) Quarterly claims meetings, thru reporting and analyzation of trends.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage & Administer Title Insurance claims and curative matters
  • Investigate and analyze claims to determine whether the company has a liability for losses and expenses.
  • Communicate with insureds, third parties, and underwriters regarding claims.
  • Maintain knowledge of nationwide claim and curative practices.
  • Provide assistance with the correction of title related transaction document errors.
  • Assist Company employees in resolving title and escrow issues.
  • Provide assistance to less experienced claims and curative officers.
  • Support Legal Department initiatives, department of insurance audits and other research responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Develop and maintain reporting on curative and claims matters.

REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Title license and notary public, preferred.
  • Law Degree and current Bar admission preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience is title insurance claims administration and investigations.
