Opportunity
As a Client Solutions Specialist you will join a team-focused, fast pace environment and will be integral in the daily operations of our client solutions, ecommerce and Rapid Ship order fulfillment division. You will be working in a customer-focused environment that provides timely laboratory product solutions to our clients. This is a full-time, salary position with regular hours 7am – 4pm, M-F, reporting to the Distribution Sales Manager.
Role
Client Solutions members need to be self-motivated and highly detailed, delivering excellent internal and external customer service. In the position of Client Solutions you will be responsible for responding by email, phone and website to customer inquiries, quotes and orders. You will handle all Client Solutions sales processing (managing inquiry, pricing, proposal, order entry, PO creation, scheduling and order follow up), ensuring customers are taken care of from beginning to end.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for handling individual sales inquiries via email, web or phone
- Manage furnish and supply only sales (inquiry, estimating, product layouts/elevations, purchasing, project management, scheduling and delivery for Rapid Ship Division)
- Able to make product recommendations and find alternative product solutions based on customer requirements
- Responsible for knowledge of product line, applications and industries
- Create and prepare sales proposals and project drawings as needed
- Conduct unit and assembly take-off of small projects from project plans, drawings or sketches
- Maintain ecommerce site content and pricing
- Provide sales, layout and install drawings for potential customers utilizing SketchUp
- Assist in servicing house accounts
- Represent NEL Direct within larger NEL projects
- Assist with research of new customers and project leads
- Support sales and estimating with the daily flow of information. Assist with proposals, estimates, drawings, document management and coordination
- Coordinate invoices and payments with accounting
- Track and manage daily flow of inventory
- Manage special projects as needed
Qualifications
- 2-5 years’ experience in an administrative, customer service or inside sales role
- Certifications or Associates degree required
- Experience interacting/communicating with customers (calls, inquires, concerns)
- Enthusiastic and positive approach to service oriented tasks
- Sketchup and/or CAD experience creating floorplans & elevations for furniture, casework or equipment.
- Able to problem solve and provide solutions to client questions, concerns or issues
- Driven, strong personal work ethic with an ability to spearhead new projects
- Able to effectively manage and prioritize information, schedules and personalities
- Flexible and willing to adapt to new processes and tasks when needed
- Professional and clear communicator
- Excellent administrative skills
- Able to work on projects independently within a close team environment
- Knowledge and experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
