Inside Sales Representative
Location: Peosta, IA | On-site
Industry: Metal Stamping, Tool & Die, Manufacturing


Our client, Premier Tooling & Manufacturing, a locally owned industry leader in metal stamping, laser cutting, welding, assembly, die design and build, and machining, is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join their team in Peosta, Iowa.


This is not an outside sales or travel-heavy position. Instead, this role is focused on managing incoming RFQs, preparing accurate quotes, and building strong relationships with both domestic and international customers. You’ll work closely with engineering and leadership to ensure customer needs are met with tailored, high-quality proposals.

What You’ll Do

  • Customer & Account Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and RFQs, ensuring timely and professional responses
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with new & existing clients - domestic and international
    • Understand customer needs and challenges to offer tailored service and product solutions
    • Coordinate with customers on project requirements, specifications, and follow-ups
    • Communicate with customers using various engagement methods - virtual meetings, phone, email, texts, and occasional visits.
    • Assist with A/R collections and reconciliation as needed
  • Sales Coordination
    • Prepare and submit accurate quotes, collaborating with engineering and operations to confirm specs
  • Track quotes, analyze costs, and follow up to ensure competitive pricing and profitability
  • Enter and manage data using Excel, CRM, and internal systems
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with engineering, logistics, and quality teams to align on technical requirements and deliverables
    • Work closely with leadership to align sales strategies with company goals
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform quoting strategies
    • Perform other duties as needed

Who You Are

  • Self-motivated, punctual, and thrives in a collaborative, on-site setting
  • Experienced in inside sales, estimating, or technical customer support (preferred)

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in inside sales, estimating, or customer service—preferably in manufacturing, tooling, or industrial services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems and quoting tools (Excel proficiency required)
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as die casting, machining, or resin compounding is a plus
  • Highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable juggling multiple projects
  • Solid math, measurement, and metric skills
  • Experience with international communication (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, a technical field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Skills

  • Experienced in a manufacturing environment, industrial automation or with industrial/technical products
  • Previous experience in sales support, estimating, or inside sales is a plus
  • CRM software proficiency for sales tracking and analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Work Environment & Travel:

  • Location: On-site at Peosta, IA facility.
  • Travel: Limited; occasional regional or international travel may be required
  • Customer Engagement: Primarily virtual or phone-based, based on client preference
  • Note: This position is not remote; regular on-site presence is required
