Under the supervision of a BCBA/BCaBA, the Behavior Technician (Clinic) provides Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) strategies, techniques, and procedures to individuals with autism or developmental and/or intellectual disabilities in the clinic setting.
Under the direction and supervision of a BCBA, implements assigned tasks with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, teaching procedures, and intervention in the clinic setting
Under the direction and supervision of a BCBA, participates in developing, modifying, and monitoring ABA programs for assigned patients
Closely supervises client during all activities
Under the direction and supervision of a BCBA, provides modeling and coaching of ABA techniques, teaching procedures, and interventions to caretakers in the clinic setting
Participates in mandated supervision and internship requirements
Implements feedback delivered by the BCBA on the delivery of the patient's treatment plan
Under the direction and supervision of the BCBA, collaborates with caregivers, related service providers, and staff on the implementation of the patient's plan of care
Completes required paperwork and documentation and adheres to all deadlines
Maintains organization of each assigned patient's treatment materials, data collection systems, and is responsible for program material development
Responds to and manages behavioral crisis situations
Provides in-office and telehealth services to patients and their families
May perform other duties as assigned or requested and job specification can be modified or updated at any time
Required Education: High School Diploma / GED
Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree
Preferred Experience: Experience working with individuals with disabilities
Required Certifications and Licensures: Valid Virginia Driver's License. Must complete Registered Behavior Technician Training (approximately forty (40) hours) within the first thirty (30) days of employment. Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician Credential within the first six (6) months of employment. Must obtain CPR and CPI (Crisis Prevention Management) certification within first thirty (30) days of employment
