Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Mental Health to lead our mental health services team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and management of mental health programs to ensure the highest standards of care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare management and medical management, with a commitment to improving patient outcomes and promoting mental wellness within the community.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive mental health programs that align with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO standards and other relevant healthcare regulations.
- Oversee the management of clinical staff, providing leadership, training, and support to enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote integrated care approaches for patients.
- Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis and patient feedback, making necessary adjustments to improve service quality.
- Advocate for mental health initiatives within the organization and the broader community.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure sustainability of mental health services.
Experience
- Proven experience in medical management and healthcare management within a mental health setting is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of successful team management and development.
- Familiarity with JCAHO standards and experience in ensuring compliance in a healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- A master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
