Contribute to early-phase clinical research and phase I trials at CLINiC. As a Clinical Research Physician, you will combine clinical work with medical and scientific knowledge across trial setup and execution. Your expertise will support participant safety, robust decision-making and reliable data generation, while contributing to the development of potential new treatments in line with the Novo R&D strategy.
Introduction
Novo Nordisk Clinical Innovation Centre A/S (CLINiC) is an organisation dedicated to early-phase clinical trials assessing the safety and tolerability, pharmaco-kinetics and dynamics of potential new Novo medicines. In this role, you will combine hands-on clinical activities, medical oversight and trial leadership in an environment where participant safety, scientific quality and operational excellence are central.
What you’ll bring
We are looking for a physician with strong clinical judgement, experience in clinical research and a collaborative approach.
- A Medical Doctor (MD) degree and solid clinical experience; a PhD is an advantage.
- Experience in conducting clinical trials as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator; experience with early-phase clinical trials is an advantage.
- Knowledge of ICH-GCP and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Solid experience in managing acute medical emergencies.
- Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills in an international setting.
- Fluency in Danish for interaction with trial participants and strong English skills for internal collaboration.
You bring a proactive, quality-focused mindset and can navigate complexity while keeping participant safety and trial excellence at the center of your decisions.
What you’ll do
You will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality early-phase clinical trials at CLINiC. Your essential work will include:
- Leading and conducting clinical trials, including protocol review, trial execution, medical oversight and informal leadership of trial teams.
- Acting as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator, with responsibility for participant safety, trial conduct and data integrity.
- Conducting screening, in-house, overnight and ambulatory visits. Shift work (on-call or on-site) will be part of the role according to trial activities.
- Providing medical and scientific expertise to stakeholders and supporting the training and development of colleagues.
- Driving risk assessments, management of protocol deviations and quality processes.
- Contributing actively to cross-functional initiatives, continuous improvement and the development of supporting IT systems.
Who you’ll work with
You will join CLINiC in Gentofte as part of our Operations team, working closely across clinical, scientific and operational disciplines to deliver high-quality data to the Sponsor organisation. You will also support colleagues through medical guidance, knowledge sharing and informal leadership of trial teams.

Salary: The annual base salary for this role ranges from DKK 847,000 to DKK 1,245,100, corresponding to the level of the position. Placement within the range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
