CNC Programmer
Pompano Precision Products is a growing and busy AS9100D/ISO 9001:2015 precision machine shop. We are looking for a qualified CNC mill and lathe programmer to program jobs on our mills and lathes. We have HAAS and DMG Mori 3 & 4 axis mills and Doosan lathes.
Duties will include:
- Program and assist as needed in setting up 3 & 4 CNC mills and lathes.
Programming is currently in transition to Fusion 360 from Mastercam. Knowledge of programming 5 axis mills, Swiss lathes, and ESPRIT software is a plus, but not required. We provide opportunities for training and upskilling.
1) Process repeat orders. Update all books as needed.
2) Process new orders. Make drawings, operation sheets, books and programs. Order tools.
3) Make programs and follow up on the setup and running of new programs.
4) Put Programs into the machine as required by the Materials Supervisor.
5) Remove Programs from the machines as needed.
6) Save all downloaded programs and update books accordingly.
7) Work on improvements to existing jobs.
8) Check and order non-vending tools.
9) Send tools for re-grind as needed.
10) Oversee problems at the Mills and Lathes
- Maintaining good housekeeping practices in work area
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Coordinate daily work flow with production management
- Use of shop floor inspection equipment
