Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee CNC operations in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily shop activities, ensuring quality control, and leading a team of skilled workers. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including CAM programming, CNC operations, and materials handling. The Shop Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of production efficiency and safety.
Duties
- Supervise daily shop operations and coordinate workflow among team members.
- Lead, motivate and coach a team of CNC Machinists to meet production goals.
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Monitors processes to address issues, minimize downtime, and maximize quality and efficiency, seek out opportunities to improve established manufacturing practices, and anticipates inefficiencies, bringing constructive solutions.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions, collaborating with maintenance teams and any other applicable departments.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
- Communicates production status and performance trends to management.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a CNC manufacturing facility.
- Eight years of progressive achievements in CNC machining manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of CAM programming, CNC operations, and quality control processes.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels.
- Ability to inspect detailed assembly components, accurately read blueprints, and identify potential defects.
