As a CNC Setup and Operate Team member at Klein Tools, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC-controlled machines and other equipment. You will measure and examine parts to ensure conformance, maintain inventory of tools, and keep a clean work environment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines.
- Maintain inventory of tools and fixtures.
- Ensure parts conform to specifications through precise measurements and inspections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
- Operate CNC machines, drill presses, marking machines, depth and conventional micrometers, gauges, and assorted hand tools.
- Use forklifts, tote pan carts, trucks, skids, cutting tools, fixtures, and fixture components.
- Work with forgings, various types of steel, lubricants, cutting tools, cutting oils, and coolant.
- Must pass CNC setup and operation test.
- Ability to work with multiple coordinate systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments.
- Experience in record generation and retention.
- Ability to operate a crane and a forklift.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions and procedures in English.
