Job Summary
We are looking for a strong, dependable person to help me manage the shop as if it were their own. This job is not for someone looking to “just manage” from behind the scenes. I need someone ready to step in, stay on their feet, and move purposefully—just like I do every day. Seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming environment for our customers.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to company standards.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately using Aloha POS or similar systems.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and offering recommendations.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food safety practices is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and register operations.
- Experience with sales techniques to promote menu items effectively is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
