Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with ManTech!ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Combat Systems Trainer to join our Readiness Assistance Training Team (RATT) in San Diego, CA. This is an onsite position.
RATT supports Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMNAVSURFPAC) and conducts Sailor-centric deck plate training, material review, management program auditing, and naval readiness support on ships in port to improve overall Sailor proficiency and material readiness.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide classroom and deck plate, on-the-job training to Sailors on proper and safe operations, maintenance, and management of combat systems onboard ships import homeported in San Diego, Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, and Japan
Conduct comprehensive material condition assessments, review, and assess combat systems programs and preventive and corrective maintenance procedures
Making a positive difference and impact on thousands of Sailors in the Pacific Fleet
Minimum Qualifications:
20+ years of experience with the technical aspects of the operations and maintenance of the AEGIS or SSDS Combat Systems suites
Experience as a Combat Systems Officer of the Watch (CSOOW) and other managerial experience in the operations and maintenance of Navy programs and shipboard systems
20+ years of experience with the technical aspects of the operations and maintenance of Navy network and communications systems, supporting equipment, and interfaces with associated shipboard systems
Direct operational and maintenance experience, within the last five years, with the operations and maintenance of Navy electronic warfare and countermeasures systems currently employed in the Fleet, to include SLQ-32 Electronic Warfare suite, SLQ-25 Nixie Torpedo Decoy System, NULKA Active decoy system and Chaff systems
20+ years of experience with the operations and maintenance of gunnery systems aboard a warship or military auxiliary
Clearance Requirements:
US Citizenship required and an active Secret clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to maneuver on deck plates aboard ships in port, to include climbing ladders as necessary
Must be able to travel approximately 25% of the time, in support of shipboard training, to include ships stationed overseas
The projected compensation range for this position is $75,700.00-$126,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
