We’re looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead projects from the ground up, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency every step of the way. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee crews, coordinate with project managers, and represent H.A. Dorsten, Inc. with professionalism on every jobsite.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the on-site leader and Construction Superintendent, representing the company with professionalism and integrity.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, logistics, and subcontractor coordination.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and addenda.
- Oversee the permit and inspection process, ensuring full compliance with building codes.
- Monitor jobsite safety, cleanliness, and security at all times.
- Plan and prepare for upcoming work to ensure crews have the necessary tools, equipment, and materials.
- Partner closely with project managers to anticipate and resolve challenges.
- Complete accurate daily reports and project documentation in a timely manner.
- Participate in owner/architect/contractor (OAC) meetings and build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Operate large construction equipment when required and support project progress directly.
- Promote and enforce OSHA safety protocols and lead by example.
- Provide mentorship and training.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 10 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or Construction Superintendent role.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, OSHA safety regulations, building codes, and project management.
- Experience with ProCore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- OSHA 10-hour certification required; OSHA 30-hour preferred.
