Job Overview
We are seeking an experience and detail-oriented Commercial Painting Estimator to join our team. This role involves the ability to accurately bid projects by walking and measuring buildings in person, to interact with customers in a professional manner, to have extensive knowledge of painting, substrates, paint products, equipment etc. The ideal candidate will possess strong people skills, estimating skills, project management skills and a comprehensive understanding of the painting industry, with a focus on commercial and industrial painting.
Responsibilities
- Take incoming leads and contact customer to set up site visit.
- Meet with customer at the job site to introduce the company and to get a scope of work.
- Measure the building/project according to company standards and take photos.
- Conduct thorough construction estimating to determine project costs and resource requirements.
- Prepare and submit estimate to customers and follow up.
- Ability to project manage when job is awarded.
- Maintain clear communication with clients regarding project status, timelines, and any changes in scope of work
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial painting and estimating.
- This position is not bidding from blue prints, but from meeting with customers and inspecting and measuring the building/project in person.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Prefer proficiency in software such as Hub Spot and Net Suite.
- Excellent communication skills with fast response time to customers and management is a must.
- Familiarity with current pricing and costs in the painting field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for client interactions and team collaboration.
- Willing to learn is a must.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
