Overview:
As a Commission-Based Sales Appointment Setter, you will be the face of our company in neighborhoods surrounding recently completed fence installations. Your primary goal is to generate qualified appointments for our sales team by engaging local homeowners, informing them about our products and services, and scheduling in-home or virtual sales consultations.
This is an excellent opportunity for motivated self-starters who enjoy talking to people, working outdoors, and earning based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Canvass neighborhoods within 1–2 miles of recent job sites to generate awareness and interest.
- Introduce homeowners to our fence products and services with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Educate prospects about our company’s reputation, local projects, and what sets us apart from competitors.
- Use digital means to set qualified appointments for the fence sales team.
- Maintain accurate records of doors knocked, conversations, and appointments set.
- Follow up on warm leads from local referrals and prior interest lists when available.
- Communicate regularly with the Sales Manager on territory activity and results.
- Wear company-branded apparel and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
- Uphold company values of integrity, quality, and respect in every interaction.
Ideal Candidate:
- Outgoing and confident communicator
- High energy with a strong work ethic and self-discipline
- Previous experience in canvassing, sales, or customer engagement (preferred)
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, when homeowners are most available
- Reliable transportation and smartphone required
- Able to walk for extended periods and work in various weather conditions
Compensation:
This is a commission-only 1099 position, with pay based on performance:
- $50 per qualified appointment (must meet company criteria)
- $150 bonus for each appointment that results in a closed sale
- Weekly and monthly bonuses available for high performers (e.g., 10+ appointments/week or 5+ sales closed/month)
- Top appointment setters earn $1,000–$2,000/week
Example Earning Potential:
- 15 appointments set in a week = $750
- 5 of those lead to sales = $750 in bonuses
- Total = $1,500/week
