Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Commuinty Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to an individual in a private residences. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall well-being. The Community Support Worker will work closely with an individual with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with care protocols.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Assist clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for the client.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home health, senior care, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
