Location Description:

The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. It has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space spread out over the beautiful property, 9 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining), a luxury spa, and 7 pools including a 65' waterslide.

Overview:
As a Communications Operator, you would be responsible for answering the hotel telephone and directing calls to the appropriate extension or room and providing clear and timely communication with guests regarding hotel information and emergencies. Also responsible for contacting hotel executives and city services in cases of emergency.

  • Answer calls originating from external and internal sources.
  • Direct caller to appropriate extension or room. Verify last name of guest for all room calls.
  • Assist guests with directions or other required information.
  • Communicate to callers in a clear and concise manner. Communicate messages using proper grammar and spelling. Veriy names and telephone numbers.
  • Direct hotel staff to assist guests, upon request.
  • Properly handle all incoming urgent matters or emergencies for the guests and hotel.
  • Work with hotel management and/or security in order to calmly direct appropriate action.
  • Appropriately document all emergencies.
  • Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.

This is a full-time position and you must have availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts will vary and are between the hours of 6:30am-11pm.
Qualifications:
  • Prior customer service experience, required
  • Experience with handling cash, preferred
  • Prior luxury hotel experience, preferred
  • Prior Front Desk experience, preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great at anticipating needs
  • Works well independently and as a team
