Job Overview:
The Community and Events Manager is responsible for cultivating meaningful connections with our audience through community engagement and exceptional brand experiences. This role sits at the intersection of brand building, customer advocacy, and experiential marketing, and will develop both online and offline strategies to grow, nurture, and activate our community. This individual will lead the planning and execution of brand events, tradeshows, community partnerships, and grassroots initiatives that deepen brand loyalty and drive engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Events & Experiential
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of brand-owned events (pop-ups, retail activations, workshops, panels, etc.).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Tactical, Outdoor, Retail, and Marketing teams to deliver cohesive and immersive brand experiences.
- Manage brand presence at third-party events, expos, and conferences; evaluate sponsorship or partnership opportunities.
- Coordinate logistics including venues, vendors, budgets, staffing, and event promotion.
- Track and report on event performance, ROI, and post-event engagement.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with like-minded brands and organizations to co-create experiences or initiatives.
- Coordinate community partnerships that expand reach and reinforce brand values.
Measurement & Reporting
- Define KPIs for community engagement and events; analyze performance and provide actionable insights.
- Regularly report on growth, sentiment, and activation metrics.
- 3–5 years of experience in community management, event planning, experiential marketing, or related roles.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience planning events from concept through execution.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for building authentic, engaged communities.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, influencer culture, and content trends.
- Experience with Slack, Asana, Google Workspace, and Shopify
Nice to Have:
- Background in lifestyle, fitness, apparel, wellness, or mission-driven consumer brands.
- Experience working with ambassador, affiliate, or creator programs.
- Existing network of creators, venues, or partners.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours during events or launches.
