Position Summary
The Clinical Intake Specialist plays a vital role in our organization by managing the crucial initial stages of client engagement. This position involves gathering and meticulously processing new clients' information to facilitate a seamless and efficient onboarding experience. The Intake Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for individuals reaching out to Holistic Elevation, embodying our commitment to excellent client care from the very first interaction. By skillfully collecting essential details about potential clients' needs and circumstances, the Intake Specialist ensures they are directed to the most appropriate services and clinical support within our practice. The Clinical Intake Specialist contributes directly to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Holistic Elevation by ensuring a smooth and well-organized intake process, allowing our clinical team to focus on providing high-quality care.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Gathering Information: Collecting client or patient information, including demographic details, medical history, or case specifics.
- Processing Information: Organizing and managing the collected data, ensuring it's accessible and accurate.
- Facilitating Access: Directing clients or patients to appropriate services, appointments, or resources.
- Communication: Communicating with clients or patients, providing clear explanations, and answering their questions.
- Scheduling: Scheduling appointments, coordinating with healthcare providers, and managing appointment calendars.
- Maintaining Documentation: Keeping detailed records of patient intake information, including demographics, health history, and referrals.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Clinical Reasoning: Diagnostic knowledge requires more than just memorizing facts. It involves using clinical reasoning to interpret patient data, consider potential diagnoses, and prioritize a differential diagnosis.
- Understanding Pathophysiology: A strong understanding of the underlying mechanisms of disease is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Integration of Information: Diagnostic knowledge requires integrating information from various sources, including patient history, physical exam findings, and laboratory or imaging results.
- Clinical Experience: Experience in diagnosing and managing different conditions can enhance diagnostic knowledge and improve clinical decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Full certification as a CADC; Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor or Licensed Master of Social Work, or
- A master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, nursing, rehabilitation, or related field of study from an accredited college of university.
