As a Community Outreach Associate, you will play a key role in engaging with the public, sharing the missions of our nonprofit partners, and inspiring action through education, conversation, sales and fundraising.

Community Outreach Associate Responsibilities
- Community Outreach Associatesengage directly with community members at high traffic public events
- Start conversations with potential donors to introduce them to local nonprofit organizations and their missions, using proven sales techniques to inspire support
- Explain how donations support specific programs and services, using clear and relatable language similar to consultative sales approaches
- Answer questions about the charities and address concerns in a professional and friendly manner, overcoming objections like a skilled sales professional
- Accurately record interaction details, donor commitments, and feedback for internal tracking
- Work toward individual and team fundraising goals, often within a fast-paced or outdoor setting
- Participate in regular Community Outreach Associate team training sessions to improve campaign knowledge and outreach skills
Community Outreach Associate Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience in customer service, sales, campus outreach, or fundraising is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to speak confidently and respectfully with people from different backgrounds
- Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic about engaging with the public
- Self-motivated and dependable, with strong time management and a professional attitude is a must for our Community Outreach Associate role
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support team members and contribute to a positive work environment
