Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Administer HMDA and CRA data collection processes, including testing and data integrity reviews.
- Provide compliance-related and regulatory guidance to business partners directly involved in the data collection process.
- Support the Fair Lending team in participating in fair lending analyses, including performance monitoring, risk analysis, and statistical modeling such as matched pair, regression, and 2-factor analysis.
- Conducts compliance monitoring and testing as required by Regulatory Compliance.
- Assists first line of defense with development and enhancement of compliance controls.
- Identify and review complaints via the complaint portal for the CFPB and OCC, as well as post public response to the CFPB site.
- Identify and report complaint trends and areas of concern. Prepare Complaint Management and Escalation Reports.
- Escalate significant issues or complaints to the appropriate contacts including Escalation Committee, Human Resources, Ethics, and Security.
Required Skills:
- Advanced skills for RiskExec, or other major compliance management system such as Wolters Kluwer or Rata Comply.
- Compliance monitoring and risk assessment are essential for the daily tasks of the Compliance Analyst, as they ensure that all activities align with regulatory standards.
- Well-organized individuals will excel in maintaining accurate records and documentation, which is vital for audits and compliance reviews.
- The ability to interpret data allows the analyst to draw meaningful insights from compliance metrics, guiding the organization in its decision-making processes.
- Multitasking abilities are crucial, as the analyst will often juggle multiple projects and deadlines while ensuring thoroughness in their work.
- Familiarity with compliance software, will enhance the analyst's efficiency in tracking compliance activities and generating reports.
Required Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of related compliance experience.
- Working knowledge of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Fair Housing Act (FHA), and Unfair, Deceptive, and Abusive Acts & Practices (UDAAP).
Preferred Experience:
- Certification in compliance or risk management (e.g., CRCM, CCEP).
- Background in Regulatory Compliance. Having attended at least one of the ABA's Compliance schools.
