ECS is seeking a System Administrator to provide En Route and Oceanic Second-Level Engineering Mission Support for the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Dynamic Ocean Track System (DOTS Plus). DOTS Plus manages oceanic air traffic by generating flexible tracks and advisories to optimize airspace utilization and minimize congestion. It generates flexible oceanic tracks with the use of Linux servers, monitors, keyboards, mice, supportive interface cards, and a printer.
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.
Facility Location: William J. Hughes Technical Center, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ. Full time position reporting to facility five days a week
Duties:
- Daily monitoring and maintaining complex integrated DOTS+ Linux systems in the NAS
- Vulnerability and patch management for DOTS+ Linux OS
- Updating documents such as NAS system contingency plans (NSCP) & standard operating procedures (SOP) (and more) to fulfill security requirements for the current revision of NIST (SP) 800-53
- Designing and updating software test procedures for DOTS+
- Creating and testing workaround procedures and fixes for DOTS+ systems experiencing bugs in the NAS
- Utilizing regression software tests to verify full functionality before operational release of SSMs
- Providing responsive 24 hour site restoration and remediation service for issues with DOTS+ (Help Desk)
- Supporting the management, development and design synthesis of software and customer requirements
- Assisting with the management, development, and tracking of software versions and requirements
- Any other duties as needed for the support
