Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Computer Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and managing computer systems to ensure optimal performance. You will assist users with troubleshooting issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring that all hardware and software components function seamlessly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Manage computer systems and networks, ensuring efficient operation and security.
- Troubleshoot software issues and perform installations or updates as necessary.
- Assist with desktop support tasks, including setup and configuration of computers, peripherals, and network devices.
- Maintain documentation of IT processes using tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira.
- Support VPN connections and firewall configurations to ensure secure access to company resources.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex IT problems and improve overall service delivery.
- Offer customer service support by addressing user inquiries effectively and professionally.
Skills
- Proficient in technical support for various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Strong knowledge of computer management principles and IT infrastructure.
- Experience with computer networking concepts including LAN setups.
- Familiarity with VPN technology and firewall management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Skilled in software troubleshooting across diverse applications.
- Experience with help desk operations using tools like BMC Remedy or ServiceNow.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with users at all levels.
- Strong customer service orientation to ensure user satisfaction.
