QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field or
2. Three (3) years of successful experience in the field of computer hardware and software configuration, installation and maintenance
REPORTS TO: Director of Technology
JOB GOAL: To configure, install, support and maintain district computer hardware and
software and to provide technical assistance to district personnel
TERM: Twelve Months
SALARY: Computer Technician Salary Schedule
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. To configure and install district computer hardware and software
II. To maintain and support district computer systems to include:
A.. Providing technical assistance to district personnel
B. Monitoring licenses for software
C. Providing software and hardware maintenance
III. To provide training to district staff in computer and software use and application
IV. Assist with coordination of computer-related repair requests with appropriate district personnel
V. Assist with inventory of all hardware and software
VI. Assist with the preview, recommendation and selection of hardware and software for purchase and use in administrative and instructional settings
VII. Act as a resource for school personnel to assist schools with planning future goals, needs, expenditures and implementation of the district and school technology plan at the school level
VIII. Keep current on new products and trends in technology through provided publications and training
IX. To follow State and School Board policy
X. To perform any additional duties assigned by the Director of Technology
