Job Title: Business Operations Coordinator
Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000

The Conference and Events Planner supports the communications, marketing and community engagement efforts of the Muma College of Business through the administration of day-to-day office operations including fiscal, human resource and purchasing responsibilities, as well as the budgeting, planning and execution of a variety of special events. The planner serves as a primary point of contact for vendors and serves as a liaison with internal units and external constituencies on college events, marketing campaigns, and communications programs. The position will report to the Events Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operational aspects of the fiscal and purchasing processes for the college's communications, marketing and events. Fulfills policy requirements, researching items and obtaining price estimates, entering information into university systems, receive and confirm orders. Manages and monitors status of the contracts and tracks expenditures.
- Coordinates event planning efforts with members of the college, school, department, center and/or external community as appropriate. Plans, schedules, and monitors logistical activities including arrangements for registration, facility reservation and setup, university approvals, catering, audiovisual technology, transportation, tours, speaker travel, parking, check in, staff/volunteer coordination and other details.
- Manage, organize and analyze lists and databases for communications, marketing and event outreach for reporting purposes and to ensure accuracy in campaign/message targeting and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Facilitate and track status of human resources processes for employees including all admin./staff transactions, graduate assistants, OPS and Federal Work Study students, including recruitment and appointment paperwork requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, public relations, hospitality management, business management, digital media, or related field, with two years of experience in related positions; or a master’s degree in the fields listed above; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
