The Construction Change Analyst is responsible for evaluating, documenting, and managing changes to construction project scopes, schedules, and budgets. This role ensures that all change requests are properly assessed for impact, compliance, and alignment with project goals. The analyst works closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain transparency and control over project modifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze change order requests submitted by contractors or internal teams.
Assess the impact of proposed changes on project cost, schedule, and scope.
Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and engineers to validate change justifications.
Maintain detailed records of all change requests, approvals, and rejections.
Prepare change logs, cost impact summaries, and status reports for leadership.
Ensure all documentation complies with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to discuss change implications and obtain approvals.
Communicate change decisions and updates to relevant project team members.
Identify trends in change requests and recommend process improvements to reduce scope
creep.
Support the development and refinement of change control procedures and templates.
Utilize PMIS tools (e.g., Oracle Unifier, Procore, e-Builder) to track and manage change
workflows.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in construction project controls, change management, or contract
administration.
Familiarity with construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
Proficiency in PMIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of cost estimating and scheduling principles is a plus.
