Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the construction process by providing clerical and administrative assistance. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, computer literacy, and the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Assist with office clerical tasks, including filing, typing, and data entry.
- Maintain organized records of project documentation and correspondence.
- Utilize QuickBooks for invoicing and financial tracking.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism and provide excellent phone etiquette.
- Support project managers and site supervisors with administrative tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Help coordinate schedules, meetings, and site visits for construction projects.
- Ensure that all documentation is accurately filed and easily accessible.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks.
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bilingual abilities Spanish a plus, enhancing communication with diverse teams and clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
- Previous experience in an office or administrative role within the construction industry is preferred but not required.
