Construction Project Business Intelligence Analyst - Brief Description

Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence architecture and reporting solutions to support construction project performance management. Extracts, transform, and integrate data from ERP systems including SAP and Oracle, project scheduling software including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, cost control systems, and field data platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relational databases, data models, and data warehouses using SQL.
  • Design and implement ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Create automated dashboards, visualizations, and KPI reports using Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView to analyze schedule variance, cost performance, resource utilization, safety metrics, and quality indicators.
  • Perform quantitative data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and operational risks.
  • Apply statistical modeling and forecasting techniques to project construction timelines and budget outcomes.
  • Define technical data requirements and system specifications.
  • Document data architecture, reporting methodologies, and governance standards. Implement data validation, access controls, and compliance procedures to ensure data security and regulatory adherence.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or related field, plus two (2) years of experience in the construction industry, business intelligence, data analysis, or related role.

Technical Skills:

  • Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
    • SQL for data extraction and analysis;
    • Developing dashboards and reports using one of the following: Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView;
    • Implementing ETL processes and data warehousing concepts;
    • Performing statistical analysis and forecasting; and
    • ERP/project management systems including one of the following: SAP, Oracle, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.

Physical Requirements:

  • Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site at our Phoenix Arizona facility.

Standard Work Hours: 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
