Construction QC (Quality Control) Technician ensures the integrity, reliability, and compliance of telecommunications installations and services. This role is essential in maintaining industry standards, improving operational efficiency, and supporting safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection & Testing: Conduct inspections and tests on telecommunications equipment, cabling, and installations to ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Accurately record inspection and test results using tools such as JotForms. Note any defects, discrepancies, or non-conformances.
- Process Improvement: Recommend corrective actions and assist in developing and refining quality control procedures, checklists, and protocols.
- Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with company policies, engineering drawings, and applicable codes and standards.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with installation teams, engineers, and other departments to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

Typical Job Duties:
- Inspect newly installed plant, equipment, and systems for quality assurance.
- Test cable and fiber installations for performance metrics such as signal strength, attenuation, and continuity.
- Compare field work against engineering drawings, job specifications, and codes.
- Document all inspection results and maintain records of identified issues or deviations.
- Generate detailed quality reports with recommendations for corrective action.
- Ensure all test equipment is calibrated, functional, and properly maintained.
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of QC procedures.
- Deliver training to field crews on quality control expectations and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy items and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to lift 80-100 lbs
