Immediate opening for contact lens technician. Job duties are: k- readings, slit lamp evaluations, checking visual acuity, insertion and removal training sessions, reading and evaluating RGP's and PMMA lenses, manual lensometer, radiuscope, resolving fitting problems, ordering lenses, reconciling bills with orders, inventory management, speaking with patients over the phone. Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
* Printing daily schedule
* Cleaning and stocking contact lens exam rooms
*Restocking contact lens exam rooms
*Contact lens returns
*Ordering trials / diagnostic lenses
*Organize lenses / trial lenses - inventory
*Purge expired lenses
*Pull Vision Insurance's : VSP/Eyemed/Davis
*Filing For Vision Claims :VSP/Eyemed/Davis
*Reconciling Vision Plans Bi-weekly - to assure plan payments
*Pt chart documentation
*Posting charges and payments for Contact Lens Dept
*Checking Pt visual Acuity
*Teaching insertion and removal of contact lenses for soft and gas perm lenses
*Pt education on contact lens solutions for soft and gas perm lenses
*Placing contact lens orders
*Daily - order processing - daily deliveries
*Inventory Control
*Scheduling- For Contact Lens Dept and Optometrist
*Voicemails / Phone Calls For Contact Lens Dept
*Emails- For Contact Lens Dept
*Online Ordering For Contact Lens Dept
*Charging and Posting Payments For Contact Lens Dept
*Daily Batches / End Of Day Report
