- Reviewing blueprints and documentation to prepare detailed cost, material, and labor estimates
- Using tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid for accurate takeoffs and cost modeling
- Collaborating with clients, architects, and project managers to define clear scopes
- Researching material and labor costs, market trends, and vendor pricing
- Preparing detailed reports and justifications to support your estimates
- Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors on pricing and contract terms
- Adjusting cost estimates as project scopes evolve
