Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various counseling techniques and demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the well-being of individuals across diverse populations, including children, families, and the elderly. This role requires a deep understanding of clinical practices, case management, and crisis intervention strategies.
Duties
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, focusing on their emotional and psychological needs.
- Conduct assessments to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address issues related to child family counseling, geriatrics, and special education.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of client progress in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients, including case management and crisis management when necessary.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with medical terminology and best practices in therapy.
- Support clients with disabilities by implementing appropriate therapeutic strategies that promote independence and well-being.
- Participate in inpatient care as needed, providing support during critical moments in clients' treatment journeys.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as required by state regulations.
- Experience in child family counseling, clinical counseling, or working with special education populations is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with geriatric care practices is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Proven skills in case management and crisis management are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and adapt therapeutic approaches accordingly.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
