Your primary responsibilities will include assisting customers with their product needs, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a well-organized sales area. You will leverage your knowledge of outdoor power equipment to provide expert advice and solutions to customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in selecting outdoor power equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Answer product-related questions and offer recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner.

- Accurately process sales transactions using C Systems point-of-sale system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments and ensure accurate change and receipts.
- Manage special orders and custom requests, including follow-ups with customers as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company’s product range, including features, benefits, and maintenance requirements.
- Demonstrate product use and functionality to customers and provide hands-on assistance when necessary.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment and organization.
- Help with receiving and stocking merchandise, ensuring items are displayed properly and are easily accessible.
- Assist with regular inventory checks and report discrepancies or shortages to the Sales Manager.
- Keep the sales counter and surrounding area, as well as showroom clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Assist with maintaining product displays, promotional materials, and signage to attract and engage customers.
- Support sales initiatives by suggesting additional products or services to customers.
- Follow up on customer orders, service requests, and any issues related to sales.
- Work effectively with other team members to meet sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in sales or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both in person and on the phone.
- Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of outdoor power equipment is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to climb up and off equipment to demo for customers.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- This role may require flexibility to work weekends or evenings based on store hours and business needs.
