Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Courier Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and packages efficiently and safely to various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, have experience in delivery driving, and be comfortable operating a variety of vehicles, including box trucks. This position requires a commitment to timely deliveries while ensuring the highest level of service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload packages and materials, ensuring they are secured for transport.
- Follow designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients and recipients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Handle heavy lifting and moving of packages as required by the job.
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks for loading and unloading tasks when necessary.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus, providing familiarity with logistics operations.
- Experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type.
- Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving best practices.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles as needed.
- Competence in heavy lifting and moving items safely is essential for this role.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous.
