Vigilnet America is a leading provider of alternative sentencing services to the corrections industry. Since 2006, the company has helped courts, probation/parole departments and other agencies implement effective programs for offender management.
We are looking to hire a remote Electronic Monitoring Technician based in the Kearney/Lexington area to service our customers in Central Nebraska. The person in this position will be responsible for case management of court & probation ordered participants, including but not limited to, scheduling client appointments, client orientation, reporting, installation and removal of electronic monitoring devices, regular maintenance of the technology, and administrative responsibilities. An ideal candidate will be a tech savvy person who has a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service with a positive attitude and will be extremely well organized, detail oriented, dependable, and have an upbeat and friendly demeanor. This job requires daily travel throughout Central Nebraska, so reliable transportation is needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided based on IRS allowances.
Occasional evening & weekend work will be required.
Responsibilities include:
- Scheduling install, maintenance, and removal appointments with our clients
- Fitting clients with monitoring devices (GPS, House Arrest, Alcohol Monitoring) at various courthouses, jails, and Probation Offices throughout Central Nebraska
- Case management of clients
- Fee collection
- Communication with clients and supervising authorities
- Cleaning & maintenance of monitoring equipment
- Performing other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational, problem solving, and multi-tasking tasking abilities are necessary.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word, Outlook and Excel. Expertise in other commonly used programs such as Adobe PDF, SharePoint, etc. is a plus.
- Must demonstrate a strong ability to prioritize work, balance the needs of various individuals, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information and resolve situations.
- A valid Driver's License is required
- Bilingual applicants (Spanish) encouraged
Must be able to pass both background and DMV checks with no alcohol related offenses
