Job Summary
Bolt Scooters in Dallas is looking for a Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. As the first point of contact for our customers, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable rental experience. Your main responsibilities will include processing transactions, signing up customers, explaining rental rules, and assisting with any questions or troubleshooting needs.
Store Hours:
- Weekdays: 1 PM – 2 AM
- Weekends: 12 PM – 2 AM
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with the rental process.
- Sign up customers and verify necessary rental requirements.
- Explain safety rules and usage guidelines to ensure a fun and responsible ride.
- Demonstrate how to operate scooters and assist customers with any questions.
- Process transactions accurately using our Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Help troubleshoot basic scooter issues to keep customers moving.
- Maintain a clean and organized store, including workstations, rental areas, and customer waiting areas.
- Ensure scooters and helmets are clean, properly stored, and in good working condition before and after each rental.
- Regularly check and restock essential items such as helmets and other rental accessories.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or damaged equipment.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to enhance their experience.
- Actively promote the business by going out and passing out business cards in busy areas when the store is slow to help bring in new customers.
- Work as part of a team to keep operations running smoothly.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous cash handling or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Strong people skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to learn quickly and solve basic customer issues.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and enthusiasm for helping others.
- Comfortable with prospecting and engaging with people to spread the word about Bolt Scooters.
- Basic knowledge of scooters or willingness to learn.
