To represent the City of Killeen through daily customer service contact with the general public regarding Solid Waste operations.
Supervision Exercised
Employee has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties
Core Competencies
Receives and provides information to the general public.
Investigates complaints and answers questions concerning accounts .
Issues work orders for services resulting in additional charges to customer accounts.
Inputs billing data for residential and commercial accounts
Performs routine clerical and administrative work in answering phones and maintaining files.
Assist with activities for the assigned and/or designated operating divisions and compiles daily reports.
Prepares requisitions, manages payments on contracts and procurement card (p-card); receives and verifies invoices for payment.
Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in the Department and City attendance policies and procedures; ensures all behaviors comply with the City’s Personnel Rules and Regulations; possesses and maintains a valid driver's license, if required, and complies with City of Killeen driving policy accordingly.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Must be bondable.

Personal computer, including spreadsheet and word processing software; Microsoft Office, central financial computer system, telephone, 10-key calculator, typewriter, copy machine, signature machine, fax machine, scanner and motor vehicle.

Required Minimum Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent; and
- Six (6) months related experience; or

Any equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
- Working knowledge of computers, to include spreadsheets and electronic data processing;
- Skill in operating listed tools and equipment;
- Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public;
- Ability to handle stressful situations;
- Ability to work under pressure and/or frequent interruptions.
- Some knowledge of accounting practices and procedures;

Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
