JOIN OUR TEAM AS A PROJECT COORDINATOR I!
This position prepares the agenda for the Board of County Commissioners, Planning Commission and/or Development Review Committee, or Appeals of Demolition Orders for the Board of County Commissioners meetings including all notification. Responsible advanced clerical work, which includes administrative responsibility.

Essential Job Functions

Compiles, dictates, copies, and distributes the agenda and/or presentations as necessary. Prepares forms independently and composes letters for supervisor's signature. Reviews reports in accordance with established procedures. Sets up and maintains files. Assembles information for supervisor's use. Receives and screens callers. Refers callers to other employees, officials, or departments as needed. Operates and provides routine maintenance on photocopy equipment and paper drill. May require tracking and recording approval process for some agenda items. Performs related work as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of business English, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Knowledge of agenda structure and requirements.
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • Ability to prepare routine documents and compose letters and memoranda.
  • Ability to make decisions in accordance with the departmental rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to enforce and work within tight time deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public.
  • Ability to relieve the schedule of the supervisor.
  • Knowledge of the overall functions and operations of the unit to which assigned.
  • Skill in typing at a prescribed rate of speed.
  • Ability to operate word processor, personal computer, or CRT.
  • Ability to function as the key operator for assigned photocopying equipment.

Minimum Requirements

PHYSICAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate degree OR possession of high school diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma and two (2) years' of secretarial/clerical and typing experience.

In House Candidates: This position qualifies for DAP.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
