Position Details:
- Hours: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM (6 hours daily with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks)
- Schedule: 165 workdays (school year calendar)
- Pay: $15/hour
- Location: Oakcrest Elementary School
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Daily Tutor to support 3rd–5th grade students in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math. The tutor will provide small-group and one-on-one instruction, reinforce classroom learning, and help students build confidence in core skills. All plans will be guided and supported by a teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with students in grades 3–5 to strengthen skills in ELA and math.
- Provide targeted instruction and practice opportunities aligned with classroom lessons.
- Maintain a structured, positive, and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student growth.
- Manage student behavior effectively to maximize learning time.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to student success.
- Ability to follow direction from a partner teacher and fulfill lesson plans.
