Missoula County, Montana
June 22, 2025

Job Summary:

Partners In Home Care is seeking a skilled Part-Time Data Analyst (0.25 FTE, approximately 10 hours per week) to join our Clinical teams. The role focuses on leveraging Bayesian statistical methods to provide actionable insights that address clinical questions and operational needs. The ideal candidate will perform sensitivity and elasticity analyses to support decision-making and have proficiency in R or related statistical tools, with a preference for Tableau knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Apply Bayesian statistical techniques to analyze clinical and operational data, including patient outcomes, resource utilization, and care delivery metrics in home health and hospice settings.
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis to evaluate the robustness of findings and assess the impact of varying assumptions on clinical and operational models.
  • Perform elasticity analysis to quantify the responsiveness of key outcomes (e.g., patient satisfaction, cost efficiency) to changes in clinical or operational inputs.
  • Develop and interpret statistical models to answer specific clinical questions, such as optimizing care plans or predicting patient risk profiles.
  • Create clear, actionable reports and visualizations to communicate findings to clinical and administrative stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify data needs and translate complex analytical results into practical recommendations.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Biostatistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in applying Bayesian statistics to real-world data analysis, preferably in healthcare, ecological or clinical settings.
    • Hands-on experience with sensitivity analysis and elasticity analysis to address business or clinical questions.
    • Proficiency in R or similar statistical programming tools (e.g., Python with Bayesian libraries such as PyMC or Stan).
    • Experience in home health, hospice, or healthcare analytics is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of statistical modeling and data manipulation.
    • Familiarity with Tableau for data visualization is preferred.
    • Ability to work with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare datasets.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong communication skills to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role.

Work Schedule

  • Part-Time (0.25 FTE): Approximately 10 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate project deadlines and company needs.
  • Remote work is available, with occasional virtual meetings to align with team needs. Missoula location preferred for occasional commuting.
