Position: Data Analyst (Power BI & Power Platform)
Skill Level: 5-7 years of experience as a Data Analyst, with a focus on creating dashboards, data visualizations and reports using Microsoft Power BI. This includes ingesting, manipulating, and building relationships with data from various sources.
Location: Remote (primary) with occasional on-site activities required at the client site in the National Capital Region (primarily sites in Quantico, VA and Hanover, MD).
Security Clearance Requirement: Applicants must be U.S. citizens and must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Department of Defense (DoD) issued SECRET level security clearance during employment.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights. You should be experienced with creating reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI and be an advocate for creating great user experience (UX). We're looking for someone who is as comfortable building visually compelling dashboards as they are collaborating with stakeholders in an Agile and iterative environment to define and capture requirements
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and develop interactive, visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports to track and visualize key performance indicators (KPI).
- Create and implement dashboards and reporting solutions that provide meaningful insights into organizational performance and areas of interest.
- Design and maintain strategic roadmaps for data visualization initiatives, outlining long-term goals and project timelines.
- Integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with DoD data governance standards.
- Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and optimization for report reliability and performance.
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity and information assurance protocols, especially when handling CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) and classified data.
- Document dashboard designs, data sources, and workflows to support ongoing system maintenance and compliance audits.
- Create, maintain and develop power apps to support business processes, ensuring the apps meet performance and security standards.
- Design and manage automated workflows and pipelines using Power Automate to streamline tasks.
- Integrate SharePoint lists with Power Platform for data management and reporting
- Support Agile/Scrum processes including using Jira to development and manage workflows, epics and capabilities. Participate in sprint planning and review sessions.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Five to seven years performing client work in a Federal (DoD preferably) environment (Program Management Office (PMO) or Program Executive Office (PEO).
- Familiarity with creating low-code/no-code applications or cloud automations with Power BI, Power Apps or Power Automate on the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience presenting dashboards and quantitative data to stakeholders and leadership.
- Familiarity with relational database architecture and navigating large datasets, with the ability to query sources like SQL Servers, SharePoint Lists, Excel Spreadsheets, and third-party connectors.
Education and Experience Level:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent degree, with 5-7 years experience

Microsoft Certified Power Platform Developer
