Job Description

Data Management Analyst for Anatomic Pathology, Department of Pathology; assists Manager of Quality Data Reporting with clerical/data entry functions and report preparation; participates in quality indicator clinical and operational data collection, review, analysis and report preparation to ensure compliance with quality management plan and laboratory accreditation purposes; monitors and discloses quality indicators; identifies and presents recommendations for quality improvement opportunities; prepares internal and external quality data summaries to ensure compliance with CAP, JCAHO, CLIA and NY guidelines; participates in inspection preparedness efforts with AP Laboratory Managers, Operations Director, and Associate Director; performs internal AP audits, and additional audits for survey readiness to meet accreditation requirements; analyzes and interprets audits findings and summarizes results for reports and presentations; maintains extensive knowledge of all regulatory and compliance requirements; maintains confidentiality of all sensitive documents or information; assist with distribution and grading of alternative proficiency testing for pathologist interpretation, as well as interobserver variability; assists with training any additional quality team members; helps to coordinate QA processes among team members; provides polite and professional telephone coverage; compiles reports from Epic/Beaker; scanning, copying, and faxing, as necessary.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Health Sciences, Computer Science or relevant field.
