Data Scientist
Job description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Scientist to join our team in Doral, FL.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Extracting, cleaning, and synthesizing large, complex structured and unstructured datasets to derive actionable insights.
- Designing, training, and deploying advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve operational challenges.
- Collaborating with cross-functional technical teams, data engineers, and stakeholders to translate operational needs into data-driven solutions.
- Developing interactive data visualization tools and dashboards to communicate complex analytical findings to decision-makers.
- Conducting model evaluation, baseline testing, and continuous optimization across enterprise data environments.
- Maintaining technical documentation, code repositories, and analytical baselines to support system governance.
MinimumQualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in advanced analytics or data science roles.
- OR a masterās degree and 1+ or more years of relevant experience
- OR a PhD and 1+ or more years of relevant experience
- OR an associateās degree and 5+ or more years of relevant experience
- OR a high school diploma and 7+ or more years of relevant experience
- Proven experience building and deploying machine learning models using modern programming languages such as Python or R. Strong background in database management, data mining, and writing complex SQL queries across relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex technical documentation and data science methodologies. Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization tools.

Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialist, Azure Data Scientist Associate).
- Prior experience supporting U.S. Military Command operations or Department of Defense enterprise data environments.
- Experience with cloud analytics platforms, containerization tools, and MLOps workflows.
- Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or automated workflow orchestration platforms.

- Must hold a current/active secret security clearance.

Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
