- Hold a valid Michigan teaching certificate and have 3-5 years successful years of teaching
- Have Administrative Certification or formal leadership training
- Have experience in administrative or leadership role
- Have working knowledge of current instructional, technology and engagement strategies
- Have a strong desire to work with at-risk and diverse students and their parents
- Be willing to work as part of a team to improve student learning, attendance, behavior, social emotional well-being and overall student character and performance

- Support day-to-day operations of the building's programs and administer student discipline
- Establish steps and procedures to handling challenging students and standards for conduct
- Communicate to parents, teachers and statf regarding infractions of the code of conduct, academic integrity or other policiies
- Assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of intervention programs that address the needs of at-risk students
- Facilitate Positive Behavior Support (PBS) system and establish processes and procedures to support PBS and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
- Facilitate restorative justice practices including facilitation of restorative circles and conferences
- Supervises students on campus before and after school; monitors students during lunch, recess, passing periods and other activities; instructs students in appropriate behavior
- Process and implement progressive discipline
- Mentor and counsel at-risk students and students in need of additional staff support
- Supervise student activities, buses and cafeteria
- Establish positive relationships with students and staff
- Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
