Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism.
Duties
- Safely operate a flatbed truck or similar vehicle for deliveries.
- Load and unload products, like hay bales, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Follow designated routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
- Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organization.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience in warehouse operations is a plus.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of products (up to 100 pounds).
- Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local areas is beneficial.
