Delivery Driver - Non-CDL - Somerset, NJ
Unitemp, Inc has over 50 years of experience as the leading commercial and industrial HVAC project and service provider in the New Jersey and New York markets. We provide our clients with heating, air conditioning and ventilation solutions to meet the needs of their facility and people. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver for transporting parts, equipment and tools to various job sites and to provide assistance in our warehouse. This is a vital role in ensuring timely and efficient job completion for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate delivery vehicles to transport items to designated locations
- Load and unload products from the vehicle using appropriate equipment or manual method
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering products in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip, reporting any maintenance or repair needs
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past 3 years
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a Delivery Driver
- Ability to operate various types of delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans
- Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers
- Ability to lift up to 50-lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations is advantageous
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus
- NJDOT Medical Card
- Work Hours - Monday-Friday 6am-3pm
