Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, under the direction of the dentist.
- Manage patient records using Dentrix and Epic systems, ensuring accuracy in medical coding and documentation.
- Take and record vital signs as needed, providing essential information to the dental team.
- Provide support as a dental receptionist when required, including scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall health.
- Ensure that the dental operatory is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Familiarity with infection control practices within a clinical setting.
- Experience with medical coding is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of Dentrix software or similar dental management systems is advantageous.
- Prior experience in assisting during dental procedures is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform medical imaging tasks competently.

Pay: $22.99 - $24.33 per hour
