Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Ceramist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will have experience fabricating high-quality ceramic dental restorations including crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, and bridges. You will work closely with dental technicians, prosthodontists, and clinicians to ensure each case meets both aesthetic and functional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate ceramic restorations including porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM), all-ceramic crowns, veneers, and bridges.
Apply porcelain layering, contouring, and glazing techniques to achieve precise shade matching and natural esthetics.
Follow dental impressions, CAD/CAM designs, and work orders to ensure accurate case execution.
Operate and maintain ceramic furnaces, tools, and equipment.
Inspect final restorations for fit, finish, color, and aesthetics before delivery to clinicians.
Communicate effectively with dentists and lab personnel to clarify case specifications or adjustments.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following health and safety standards.
Stay updated on advancements in materials and techniques related to dental ceramics.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a dental ceramist or dental lab technician with a ceramic focus.
Deep understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, and color science.
Proficiency in ceramic layering, staining, and glazing techniques.
Familiarity with dental lab tools, furnaces, and digital workflows (CAD/CAM experience a plus).
High level of manual dexterity, attention to detail, and artistic ability.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Degree or certification in dental laboratory technology is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with zirconia and lithium disilicate (e.max) restorations.
Understanding of digital design and milling software (e.g., Exocad, 3Shape).
Ability to work in high-volume or high-precision lab environments.
