Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Office Schedule Coordinator and receptionist to join our team in Cottonwood and Sedona(VOC). The coordinators primary role is patient greeting, scheduling appointments, preparing documents for daily procedures, collecting insurance information, and processing daily appointment check outs. The ideal candidate would be interested in learning and willing to be taught by a seasoned dental insurance professional versed in all area of dental office functions. This is invaluable training and knowledge! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by providing exceptional support to both our patients and dental staff. This position requires strong office management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records using Eaglesoft or similar dental software.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding care plans and treatments. Typing for data entry tasks, including updating patient information and insurance details.
- Assist with billing processes and verify insurance coverage for patients.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks as needed, contributing to a collaborative office atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with patients in both English and Spanish, if bilingual.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in office management practices and computerized systems.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are highly desirable to enhance patient interactions.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to explain them clearly to patients is beneficial.
