We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. This position requires strong communication skills. Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming and professional front-desk experience.
- Coordinate and manage scheduling of dental patient appointments, including scheduling new patients intakes, consent forms, ensuring all documentation is complete and aligned with practice protocols.
- Verify insurance eligibility and communicate with patients regarding coverage and payment requirements.
- Monitor appointment flow using a color-coded scheduling system to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in processing patient check-outs, including summarizing visit notes.
- Respond to inquiries by phone or in-person in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry tasks and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in dental scheduling or as a dental receptionist is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical coding practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with common dental terminology is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborative within a team environment.
- Fluency in other languages is a plus.
