Department Manager (Clinical Psychology) I

Department of Clinical Psychology, New Territories West Cluster

Pay

HK$161,107 to HK$185,614 (HMPS Point 20 to Point 24) per month including Monthly Allowance

An additional Managerial Responsibility Allowance of HK$3,000 per month.

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Take charge of the Clinical Psychology teams in the New Territories West Cluster.

2. Plan, develop, organize and monitor the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of cluster clinical psychology service.

3. Provide professional supervision and manage staff’s training and development including job rotation.

4. Formulate and implement policies and standards on psychological service.

5. Provide specialist advice on psychological matters.

6. Perform clinical duties.

7. Lead research in areas relevant to clinical work.

Entry Requirements

1. A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from a local university; or equivalent.

2. 5 years’ experience as a Clinical Psychologist.

3. a) Grade E in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent.

OR

b) Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education, or equivalent.

4. Fluency in written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese.

Preferred Attributes / Exposure

1. Work experience in various specialties including Child and Adolescent, Psychogeriatrics, Forensic Psychology, Substance Abuse and Community Psychiatry etc.

2. A post-basic academic/professional qualification or clinical training.

3. A management qualification and/or experience.

4. Experience and interest in research and training.

5. Possess the following preferred attributes\:

· Analytical thinking
